Peer Review Process
The Communicationis Mediorum et Turismi (CMT) journal employs a rigorous double-blind peer review process to ensure the quality and integrity of published articles. This process involves the following steps:
-
Initial Screening
Upon submission, all manuscripts undergo a preliminary evaluation by the editorial team to check for scope relevance, originality, and compliance with submission guidelines. -
Assignment to Reviewers
Manuscripts that pass the initial screening are assigned to at least two independent expert reviewers with relevant expertise in the topic. -
Double-Blind Review
Both authors and reviewers remain anonymous to each other to eliminate bias. Reviewers assess the manuscript’s methodology, originality, clarity, significance, and adherence to ethical standards. -
Review Reports
Reviewers provide detailed feedback and recommend one of the following: acceptance, minor revision, major revision, or rejection. -
Editorial Decision
The editor evaluates reviewers’ comments and makes the final decision. Authors receive decision letters along with reviewer feedback. -
Revision and Final Acceptance
If revisions are requested, authors submit the revised manuscript addressing the reviewers’ comments. The editor may send the revision back to reviewers for further evaluation before final acceptance. -
Publication
Accepted manuscripts proceed to the production phase and are published in the scheduled issue.
CMT strives to complete the peer review process within approximately 8 weeks. The journal is committed to transparency, fairness, and confidentiality throughout the review.
