Publication Ethics

Communicationis Mediorum et Turismi (CMT) is committed to upholding the highest standards of publication ethics and takes all possible measures to prevent any publication malpractice. Authors, editors, reviewers, and publishers are expected to follow ethical behavior as defined below:

1. Responsibilities of Authors

  • Authors must ensure that their work is original, free from plagiarism, and has not been published or submitted elsewhere.

  • All sources, data, and references must be properly cited and acknowledged.

  • Authors must disclose any potential conflict of interest.

  • All listed authors must have significantly contributed to the research.

  • Authors must cooperate with editors during the review and revision process.

2. Responsibilities of Editors

  • Editors are responsible for the overall quality and integrity of the published content.

  • Editorial decisions are based solely on the academic merit of the manuscript and its relevance to the journal’s scope.

  • Editors must maintain confidentiality and handle manuscripts in a fair, unbiased manner.

  • Editors must take appropriate actions when ethical complaints are raised, including investigation and correction or retraction if needed.

3. Responsibilities of Reviewers

  • Reviewers must evaluate manuscripts objectively, with constructive feedback and without personal bias.

  • Reviewers must maintain confidentiality and not use the content of the manuscript for personal advantage.

  • Reviewers should disclose any conflict of interest and decline to review when such conflicts exist.

4. Responsibilities of the Publisher

  • The publisher must support ethical publishing practices and assist in resolving ethical issues when needed.

  • The publisher ensures the integrity of the scholarly record through cooperation with editors and authors.
